Insulation and Drywall
February 20th, 2009 Posted in Independence Hwy. RemodelInsulation has been installed in the ceilings, floors and in both the interior and exterior walls. By code you don’t need insulation in the interior walls but some homeowners choose to do so for noise control. Insulation was added to the hall bath walls, master bedroom walls, upstairs bedroom wall and to the wall that divides the living room and master bedroom.

Along with putting in the insulation this week, we framed the fireplace openings in the living room and master bedroom/ master bathroom. The master bedroom/ master bathroom will have a see-thru fireplace. This will enable the homeowners the luxury of having a fireplace in both rooms without the added cost of two fireplaces.

With painstaking detail the homeowner, cabinet maker and designer have finalized the cabinet drawings. Now they are ready to be built, which is the job of our custom cabinet maker. They are going to be amazing!
The temporary walls in the kitchen and dining room have been removed leaving the space ready for drywall. We’ll hold off on any blog entries until the drywall is done . Check back in a couple of weeks to see the finished drywall and the beginning of interior paint. This is when the project really starts to come together and you’ll be able to get a sense of what the spaces will look like.
