Our project in North Corvallis is progressing nicely, as the second floor framing is now complete. This includes new exterior walls with OSB sheathing, and new roof trusses with plywood sheathing. (Note: different sheathing materials are used based upon their construction application — next week we will blog more specific information on why this is so important.) The new architectural roof shingles are on, beginning to define the second floor finishes. Soon the exterior walls will receive new windows, just before the Hardiplank siding is installed. After the interior wall framing is complete, the plumbing and electrical rough-in will be done, leading up to placement of the interior gypsum wallboard.
Below are recent pictures of the new second floor.
This house also utilizes pre-fabricated trusses, which makes framing go quick! Although hard work, framing is the first step in defining your new space. The two pictures below are a good look at the framing stage.
We appreciate our clients, and are excited for their future in a newly renovated home. Please continue to follow their progress, as they move closer and closer to realizing a dream come true.
