The Project has been completed and the homeowners have been enjoying their new space for a couple of months now. Here are some finished photos we’d like to share with you. This entry went from cramped and uninspiring to spacious and welcoming. The use of wainscoting allows for dramatic paint while still keeping the space bright and airy. Right next to the entry we added a powder room. The serene wall color in the bathroom picks up the border in the tile floor nicely.
Like most homes this one lacked a place to sit and put your shoes on as well as an area to drop the mail off. The best way to be organized is to plan for a place for everything and that’s just what we did when we designed the back entry. This space has both style and functionality.
The master suite features a large walk-in closet, see-through fireplace, custom built-in bookshelves and a reading nook. To keep this room an oasis for the homeowners we installed wall insulation as a sound barrier in the interior walls separating the master suite from the rest of the house. There was a lot of tile work done in the Master Bathroom. The forethought in the layout of the tile is a detail that some people don’t pay attention to, but at Powell Construction we believe that it’s details like this that set our work apart.
Now let’s go to the heart of the home. Not only can the homeowners cook an extravagant meal but they can also entertain while doing it. Opening up the kitchen, dining room and family room isn’t a trend, it’s the way people are living!
There are always mixed emotions at the end of a project. There’s excitement at seeing the homeowners enjoying their space and seeing the fruition of everyone’s labor of love, but there’s also regret that we won’t be talking with them on a daily basis anymore. Mark and Mona- we want to thank you for inviting us into your home and being such wonderful clients.
