Powell Construction has just finished building a small addition to a cute little getaway home on the Oregon Coast. This addition was only a 6-foot by 6-foot, two story addition, but that was big enough for what the homeowners wanted – a spiral staircase. The primary function for this addition was to allow access to the downstairs. Before the remodel, the owners had to go outside and walk around to the downstairs door, because there wasn’t a connection between the two floors. Now that they have a spiral staircase to connect the upstairs and downstairs, both floors are finally accessible from the inside.
| The beautiful, custom staircase is made from solid maple and includes sleek, stainless steel balusters. Powell Construction also helped with some other “facelift” remodeling including the addition of new front windows, siding, decking, and new cable railing around the deck. The stainless steel in the spiral staircases ties in well with the stainless steel cable railing, especially as you gaze through the living room window toward the bay. |  |
