Wow! The master suite addition is framed, and next week we’ll start work on the kitchen addition framing. One of the trickiest parts of the job was framing the roof. Normally we would order pre-fabricated trusses, but because of the unique ceiling design, a truncated vault starting at 10′ and peaking at 13′, we had to “stick frame” the roof. The hardest part was lifting the large beam into place. The ridge beam is nearly 25′ off the ground!
