While one crew worked on finishing interior framing in the master suite, a second crew built the walls for the kitchen addition.
The kitchen addition has the same roof pitch as the existing house, and looks great! Below is the view from the existing kitchen looking out at the addition (the upper cabinets in the kitchen have already been removed.) Next week we hope to remove the wall in the photo.
The homeowners liked the existing kitchen, but it was too cramped for more than one person working at a time. The extra space provided by the addition and the improved flow between the range, sink and refrigerator (the work triangle) will allow the homeowners to both work in the kitchen at the same time.
