Indoor Outdoor Living
– Corvallis, OR –
This family wanted a large outdoor living space to enjoy together – a place where they could gather for meals, barbecues, or an evening fire. This new spacious patio offers plenty of shade during hot summer days, as well as protection from rain and other inclement weather.

The beautifully stained cedar ceiling adds drama to the space, while the skylights and exposed beams give an airy feel. A large ceiling fan was installed to help the patio stay cool even on the warmest days.
Under the new porch roof, outdoor dining, grilling, and seating are accommodated. A propane-fueled fire pit brings warmth on a cool evening or autumn afternoon. Sheltered from the rain and sun, the outdoor living room is furnished much like an interior room, complete with indoor-outdoor rugs.
Inside of the house—and simultaneously with the outdoor project—we renovated a kitchen and family room (see our Kitchen Portfolio for the full project), both intimately tied to the outdoor living space.
The new patio cover lends height and dimension to the rear of the house. This changes the whole look of the house, increasing its overall value and its everyday livability. It looks like a whole new house!
