Remodeling Ideas: Kitchen Addition
– North Albany, OR –
One of the remodeling ideas for this formerly small kitchen was a kitchen addition. For a cook who loves to entertain, the existing dark, crowded kitchen with limited counter space just didn’t do the job. There was no prep space next to the range, and a narrow single doorway into the rest of the home choked off circulation. A kitchen addition was the perfect solution for this North Albany couple!
“They look at a situation and come up with ideas to help you decide what you want to do. We had a very good experience throughout the remodeling time with all of the Powell Construction employees and of course Tom and Heidi. We look forward to doing our next project with Powell Construction.” – Pat R.
MORE ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The rooms adjacent to the existing kitchen had no room to spare, so we built an addition to accommodate this fabulous new kitchen. A large archway connects it to the living room for better circulation, and a new island with its own prep sink increases the versatility of the kitchen. The other side of the island features a raised bar with ample room for guests. A custom-built booth also provides space to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends.
A beautiful new range has all the features a gourmet cook desires. Next to the range are dishwasher drawers by Fisher & Paykel. For everyday dishes, these drawers make washing very efficient. A buffet with a built-in beverage counter prevents crowding in the main kitchen area to get coffee or other drinks. It has everything conveniently within reach.
“As we have said before to you and our friends, it pays to do business with a good company. As always you came through for us.” – Pat and Mick R.
