Our philosophy is to provide our clients with not only beautiful craftsmanship and the highest quality product but also to provide the best possible experience. We openly include in our estimates all the subcontractor prices. When you are making important decisions about your home we feel that you should have all the information in front of you so that you can make choices that best suit your needs and desires. Transparency in estimating has always been a keystone of our business. It may be unheard of in this industry, but we are accustomed to setting the trends.
Fixed Price Contracts
At Powell Construction we stand by our estimates. After we have gone over your itemized estimate and you are ready to move on to a Construction Agreement we will sign a fixed price contract with you. Why are we able to do this while many other contractors are not? We track costs carefully on every project and can use our wealth of historical data along with subcontractor bids to produce an extremely accurate estimate, an estimate that we are willing to stand behind. Detailed specifications, plans, and a fixed price contract give you peace of mind knowing how much your project will cost.
Printed Schedule
Having a printed schedule may not seem like an important detail, but it is an integral part of the Powell process and we are happy to explain why. Committing a schedule to paper and sharing that with our clients provides a communication tool that is useful to you as you plan your personal schedule. It gives your Lead Carpenter a guide and the ability to set deadlines and keeps the subcontractors on track. Time and time again we hear from our subcontractors that we are the only contractor in the area whose dates mean something. We work hard on our schedules and this means a great deal to us. Your Lead Carpenter will give you any updates at your weekly progress meetings, keeping you informed every step of the way.
