A Room with a View
— CORVALLIS, OR —
A 1970’s home in West Corvallis was revived by adding a 135 square foot dining room addition as well as remodeling the kitchen. The homeowners liked the location of their home – but felt the kitchen didn’t take advantage of their beautiful view overlooking Corvallis. They also felt their space lacked the functionality of a modern home.
More about this project
The kitchen was dark and cramped with traffic passing through the work triangle. To remedy this situation, we flipped the kitchen and dining room and added some much needed space with the addition. Now the work triangle is uninterrupted and several new windows add to the natural light throughout the kitchen and dining room. The view is amazing out the dining room windows. Painted white cabinets with granite countertops and Cherry hardwood floors give a fresh sophisticated feel. To keep the flooring consistent throughout the home’s main floor, we replaced existing carpet with hardwood floors in the living room, office nook, entry and hallway. Wow, what a transformation!
