Rambling Ranch Addition

This 1250 square foot main level addition nearly doubled the size of this family home. With a growing family, the need for more square footage was the driving force behind this addition. The homeowners also found themselves having to work from home during the pandemic and it became apparent that they were also in need of a dedicated office space that was separated from the home’s bedrooms. Within the new addition that we designed and built for the homeowners we added a master suite, a hall bathroom, enlarged dining room, wrap around deck, and a den. By doing this, it connected the main home to the garage and created separation from the family gathering areas and the private areas.

The master suite features a walk-in closet with a closet system, a french door leading out on to the back deck, and a large master bathroom. With a modern farmhouse flair, the master bathroom is intriguing. The double vanity and large shower provide ample space for a couple to get ready together. Hexagonal tile floors and shower niche highlight the modernity of the bathroom while the subway wainscoting and shower surround keep the bathroom feeling timeless.
The den in the addition is outfitted for a family movie theater and mudroom combo. A projector was installed on the ceiling so that no floorspace was taken up with a traditional tv stand. The mudroom cabinets are the perfect storage solution for this growing family. As they enter and leave the home, gym bags, backpacks, purses all have a designated space.
