Classic Naturals Family Room Remodel

This family room remodel turned an unremarkable space into a dream space! Light wood tones, soft ambient lighting and a neutral color palette combine to create a calming feel that is relaxed yet sophisticated. Designing this renovation in tandem with the adjacent kitchen remodel allowed our designer to carry the style seamlessly between the two rooms.

By addressing the trouble spots an impressive transformation was achieved, both visually and functionally. Previously, the options for furniture placement were limited by French doors that opened into the living area. The flow and furniture layout for the family room was improved by installing a new set of outswing french doors. Replacing the outdated wood burning fireplace with a gas version gave an updated look. We chose a veined marble fireplace surround that coordinates perfectly with the kitchen’s quartz countertops, and a wood mantle that ties in the beautiful white oak of the range hood and pantry cabinets. The addition of the built-in entertainment center and display cabinets provides this family plenty of room to showcase their collection of rocks and fossils.
To carry out the design concept through the rest of the home, we removed the family room’s carpet inlay, and upgraded the whole first level with wide-planked white oak. A new coat of paint completed the design, creating a fresh and bright atmosphere the homeowners can now enjoy!
