We’re excited to share that Powell Construction recently received two awards at Oregon Home’s 2026 Structure & Style Awards, along with a nomination in a third category. Held in Lake Oswego, the annual awards celebrate outstanding projects in building, remodeling, and design that reflect Oregon’s distinctive character through ingenuity, understated elegance, and sustainable innovation.
It was an honor to be recognized alongside so many talented designers and builders from across Oregon. We’re especially proud to see the creativity, craftsmanship, and collaboration behind these projects celebrated.
Award-Winning Bathroom Remodel: A Rainforest-Inspired Retreat
Our Rainforest-Inspired Bathroom won in a Bathroom Remodeling category, recognizing a remarkable transformation that began with an unexpected space: a former office.
Our designer Tami Pennington brought her creative vision to life, reimagining the room as a luxurious bathroom inspired by the natural elements our customers wanted to bring into their home. The result is a distinctive retreat that reflects the beauty and atmosphere of a rainforest while demonstrating what’s possible when thoughtful design meets a fresh perspective on an existing space.
We’re proud to see Tami’s talent and vision recognized with this award.
Interior Design Award: A Storybook English Cottage Study
Designer Lindsay Osburn received an award in the Interior Design category for her Storybook English Cottage Study, a project that showcases her ability to blend distinctive design with the homeowners’ personal interests.
Originally a dining room, the space was redesigned as a cozy study that complements the timeless English cottage architecture. Custom millwork and carefully planned shelving provide dedicated places for the family’s book collections, making the room both functional and personal while honoring the character of the home.
We’re delighted to see Lindsay’s work recognized for bringing together classic architectural details and everyday livability.
Also Nominated: An English Cottage Kitchen & Butler’s Pantry
The recognition didn’t stop there. Lindsay’s kitchen and butler’s pantry addition, part of the same Storybook English Cottage project, was also nominated in the Interior Design category.
Spacious, inviting, and rich in classic English cottage character, these spaces extend the home’s original charm while creating room for cooking, gathering, and daily life. From the kitchen to the adjoining butler’s pantry, the design brings together beauty and function in a way that feels both timeless and personal.
We’re proud to see this project included among the year’s nominees.
These awards reflect the combined efforts of our designers, carpenters, and the many people working behind the scenes to bring each project from an initial idea to a finished home.
We’re grateful to our customers for trusting us with their homes and for giving us the opportunity to bring their ideas to life. Congratulations to Tami, Lindsay, and everyone on the Powell Construction team who helped make these projects possible!
